Heather Fath is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser at R.D. Peters Appraisals. She is also a HUD approved Real Estate Appraiser. She received her license from the state of Ohio in July of 2019. Prior to receiving her license, she completed required coursework and a 2-year apprenticeship with R.D. Peters Appraisals. Heather keeps up with all state required continuing education and any USPAP updates to remain current in the field. Heather's certified license qualifies her to be eligible to complete FHA, VA and USDA appraisals as well as, complex properties over $1 million and sizeable acreage.
Heather graduated from Smithville High School and Cedarville University with a degree in Social Work and obtained her Social Work License. Previous work experience includes; Caseworker, Guardian Ad Litem, Parenting Class Instructor and School Social Worker. These job experiences gave Heather plenty of opportunities to work with a diverse demographic, using problem solving skills and advocating for others while growing useful organizational and paperwork skills. Heather decided on a career change when the opportunity came to help continue the family appraisal business. Heather and her sister Megan (office manager), count it a privilege to continue the business their father established.
Heather is married to husband Kevin and they have four children. When Heather is not at work, her greatest joy is spending time with family, enjoying anything outdoors-especially near water, being involved at her church, being a part of local school and community, and rooting for the Smithville teams and serving as a mentor through O'Huddle.
Angela Hann is a Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser at R.D. Peters Appraisals. She received her license from the state of Ohio in December of 2018. Prior to receiving her license, she completed required coursework and a 2-year apprenticeship with R.D. Peters Appraisals. Angela originally started at R.D. Peters Appraisals in 2008, where she assisted Ray Peters as administrative secretary. Throughout her time working in the office, Angela gained a wealth of knowledge when it came to the ins-and-outs of appraisal work. Angela assisted Ray Peters for 10 years, before completing her online coursework and over 2000 hours of field work. With Angela's continued dedication, she is now in her 14th year in the real estate industry and continuing her career with R.D. Peters Appraisals.
Angela graduated from Dalton High School and took additional coursework at both Malone University and Akron University. Angela is married to her husband Christopher and they have two children, Breydan and Ethan.
When Angela is not at work, she loves spending time watching her boys and nieces/nephews play sports and their other extra curricular activities. Angela is also a member of the Wooster Country Club where she enjoys playing golf with her friends and husband.
Michelle is a Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser at R.D. Peters Appraisals. She received her license from the state of Ohio in October of 2019. Michelle originally started working for R.D. Peters Appraisals in 2017 and completed her coursework through Hondros Online Business College as well as, a 2-year apprenticeship with R.D. Peters Appraisals.
Michelle graduated from Wadsworth High School. She holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Akron and a Master's of Sport Science Degree from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama. Michelle had been a Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer for 25 years, prior to becoming an appraiser.
Michelle resides in Smithville with her husband Lee and their daughter Raigan. When Michelle is not at work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and trying new restaurants.
Filling a very important role within our office setting is Heather Kindy. Heather joined R.D. Peters Appraisals in January of 2020 and started off busy from her inception. Fulfilling the role as the office secretary, Heather provides administrative support to all real estate appraisers and the office manager within the office setting. Heather is proficient in Alamode Wintotal Appraisal Software, Neohrex MLS and Navica MLS programs. She is truly a great asset to the office and we would be lost without her.
Heather graduated from Smithville High School. Following graduation, she worked full time as a mother of 4 children and managed the daily household. Heather also has 12 years of bookkeeping experience. Heather currently resides in Smithville with her husband Brian. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and spoiling 2 grandchildren that call her "Gram".
For the past 20 years, Megan has provided excellent attention to detail and has effectively represented R.D. Peters Appraisals and barber realty, inc. Working in close coordination with office staff and 7 appraisers over the years, Megan has proven to be indispensable in organizing route scheduling and managing schedules and resources while innovating successful projects to improve office support and operations. Her contributions toward improving and eventually overhauling the communication gaps with lenders, banks, builders, clients, realtors, appraisal software correspondence systems and IT have led to better communications both within and outside of the company. Megan's contributions towards the betterment of R.D. Peters Appraisals not only demonstrates her value and love for the family business, but also supporting growth and stability for the future.
Megan graduated from Smithville High School and went on to further her studies, taking additional course work at both Wayne College and Malone University. In 2003, she decided to join the family business working part time as a secretary. As well as, part time with the Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties as a Family Resource Specialist. In 2005, Megan transitioned to full-time at R.D. Peters Appraisals as an Administrative Assistant to the owner and her father, Ray Peters. Throughout the years, Megan has grown increasingly in skill leading to her new role as the Office Manager in 2018. Megan is proficient in Alamode Wintotal Appraisal Software, Neohrex MLS, Navica MLS and Paragon MLS. She completed course work to become a realtor in 2017, but chose to continue her path in management and her desire for appraisal work. In addition to maintaining full operations, Megan is responsible for accounts receivable, day-to-day operations, marketing relationships and follow-up to business activities. Chances are you have talked to her at some point or another, if you have called into the office.
Megan currently resides in the Smithville school district with her husband Ryan and their 3 children; Malayna, Mackenzie and Myles. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is active in both children and youth ministries at her church and loves making a difference in the lives of those around her.
